I am a wife of almost 14 years to my awesome husband and the mom of three great kids. Hillarie is 13..yea I know..a teenager!! She is an awesome student and a great actress and musician and an all around great girl! Maddison my little man is 9 and he is an all around boy with a love for the New York Yankees(just like his momma) and loves sports , he is invovlved in MInor league baseball,football,soccer and this year for the first time he is in the High School Musical "Oliver". He has been on the Academic Excellence List for the last two years he is my little sensitive sweetheart! Hannah is 8 now and she too loves sports. She is very much her brothers sidekick, they are 14 months apart and are alot like twins. She also has my love for music and a sweet little voice. She plays soccer,coach pitch and will be taking piano lessons. She does awesome in school and is an accelerated reader..reading at a 4th grade level..and she is in 2nd. My husband is a head manager for a Canadian company that works at the local Zinc mine here.I am currently employed through the Gouverneur Central School District as a Subsitute Teacher and a Tutor and also continue to do Daycare part time. We plan to do alot of traveling this summer, since last summer was taken up with building our new home, which we all love. I am the "manager" of this great family and I will tell you all that my calender is always jammed packed and I wouldnt have it any other way! I have been so blessed and everyday i remember that and thank the one who made this great life possible.  Good morning everyone! Hope you are having a good one so far! Yesterday was my first day of college...all I gotta say is this..its been along time since Ive had homework, what a change! I think Im going to like it though, Im really excited about it and being able to do 3 out of the 4 classes Im taking online is going to be awesome. Not saying its not going to be alot of work, but it will be worth it in the end. We did end up going to Water Safari this weekend and it was a blast. The weather was a little iffy..it did rain a bit and was a little cool, but the kids didnt seem to mind at all. Hannah even had purple lips but that didnt slow her down or keep her off the rides! It was a nice family day. I have one more week of daycare..yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!lol Ill miss a few of them..that sounds mean..but anyway! This weekend I believe we are going to go do the dreaded school shopping...ugggg! We have done nothing yet! Hillarie hasnt even gotten her list from the school yet, nothing like waiting till the last minute! I will post some pics of our weekend and I also have a pic of Hill with her new braces to share..they arent really bothering her at all which is great! They didnt tell us how long she would have to have them on. Have a good Tuesday guys!  Its has been an incredibly long week and Im so glad that it is almost over.I have been very easily reminded this week of exactly why I am no longer doing daycare after next week...my one parent who fails to pay continuosly even after I tell her that I need to have it on her next payday*which was Wednesday* so that I could get the tickets to take my children on our trip to Water Safari this weekend. She assured me she would bring it by on Wednesday...here it is Friday , the day before our trip and I have no cash and no tickets and three mad kids. They ofcourse are mad at me, afterall I am the one who told them we were going to Water Safari, UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! Im so tired of it! People are so inconsiderate, I wish for once the people that do this to their childcare providers would go in to their employer and have him or her say to them "sorry cant pay you this week"..betcha they would not like it! Funny thing she was bragging to me On Tuesday about how much her checks were now, and that the local grocery wouldnt cash them for her cause they were too big! Im so mad...I tried to call her at work..she apparently isnt there today, and tried her at home, no luck there either. She needs me next week...bummer for her...I wont be here. That may sound mean, but Ive had enough! This person was told I was done doing daycare at the end of the school year, but yet she called and begged me to watch them until she found someone, cause she just hasnt found anyone yet! Man Im a sucker! lol Ah well, enough of that rant...It looks like it is going to be a nice day here , they were calling for rain but at the moment all I see is sunny skies! Ill take it. I have been up since about 3 a.m. I was awakened by mooing(sp) of all things. Now mind you we live in the country..however we do not own cows! I turned on our back deck light to find about 20 cows scattered about our yard..staring at me! It was weird. They knocked some stuff off the gazebo but besides that didnt do too much besides poop! YUCK! This morning the kids and I went to the two farms nearby to find out who they belonged to, once we found the owners we watch from the deck as they tried to get them back through the fence. It was funny, but I bet frusterating for the farmer. I need a refill on my coffee and laundry is calling my name so Im off. Have a good Friday!
It almost feels like a September day here...we woke up to temp in the high 40's...ahhhh. But, the sun is shining now and the temp is about 70, I love days like this. I havent done a whole lot here today. Hillarie is at the barn riding horses, Maddy and Hannah are playing with the Dc Kiddo and the babe is sleeping...ahhhhhhhhhh! This weekend is our family trip to water Safari, I wish the weather would warm up, they are saying 70's but with the way the weather has been who knows what it will be like. The kids are really excited to go and have been talking about it all summer long. I dont really care to do any of the rides, I like to be the photographer on trips like this, so that is my plan. I got my ticket back yesterday, $165.00!!!!!!!!! OYYYYYYY! Actually the ticket itself was $100.00 and the NYS surcharge is $65.00, what the heckle??Gotta love NYS! I guess it could have been worse, but jees..im not a cronic offender. We still dont have our pool installed, I am hoping this weekend after we get back from our trip but who knows. I dont even know if we will get to use it this year with the way the weather has been. I went to Target yesterday and all their pool supplies are on sale so my plan when we go school shopping is to pick up a couple things for next year.I could take a nap...I think Ill go do some scrapbooking instead. We spent the day in town today as Hillarie got her braces on and I had to do my schedule for school. All went well. Hillarie is sore tonight, but not too bad. I am all signed up with a full course load that starts on Monday. I am sooooooooooo excited! The news as far as Marks job goes really hasnt changed...they are changing his schedule back to five 8 hour days which will be awesome as far as the kids activities and me taking courses, he will be here to help out more..he doesnt know that yet though!LOL...So , for now he is still employes..yeaaaaaa for that. However its still very unstable, we will just take it as it comes. I gotta have faith faith faith..gotta have faith faith faith..wahahaha..ok so Im no George Michal( I think that is who sang that)!LOL Im off to have a glass of wine and settle in for the night. Have a good one!  HI there all. Hope you had a great weekend. Ours was pretty uneventful for the most part. It rained ALOT..much like it has all summer. Our county fair was the hit of the week here..wohoohooo!LOL...So awesome I might add, we decided to skip paying 5 dollars a ride per kid(they had a whole whopping ten rides) and take the kids to Water Safari this coming weekend. I remember the fair being a much bigger deal when even our kids were a bit younger, it was sad really. Hillarie marched in two parades on Wednesday and their marching band brought home the first place trophy in the Gold division...awesome! Marching band season is now over for another year. Two weeks from today and I start college..I cant believe it. Where has the summer gone? I am doing some online school shopping today..ugggg! I cant imagine the people that have to buy supplies for ten kids...or even 6..its bad enough for three. Mark still has a job, he should know this week what changes will be made. Keeping fingers crossed that they keep him and his coworker on. My allergies have come with a vengeance..yesterday I spent the afternoon sleeping off a benedryl induced coma. I think the only thing that does for me is knocks me out so that I dont know my allergies are bad. Today I am trying Claritin..so far so good.Hillarie gets her braces on this Wednesday..she is nervous and extremely cranky about it . Fun stuff I tell ya. After she has them put on, I have to go to the college and register for my classes and buy all my books. I bet she will be all excited about doing that with me after she gets them on. Well, that is a weekend wrap up for now, have a great Monday everyone.  Good Morning ! Its a beautiful day here in New York, at the moment anyway..the way it has been the last week, it can be sunny one minute and pouring the next.
1. Why must kids fight? Why cant they just enjoy each others company and just have fun? UGG 2. Last night we went and disassembled our swimming pool that my Aunt and Uncle gave to us. Its really nice , and only needs a liner..cant beat that ...however Im not so sure we will put it up this year or not, summer is almost over so I dont know if it makes much sense to do it now. Im excited though. Taking it down was a pain in the drain and it made Mark a bit cranky, but the way I look at it is this, you pay thousands to have someone else install one , or have one just as nice for free..I like free!lol 3. Still no news on the job front for Mark, I guess you could say no news is good news, but its stressful..I wish we knew one way or the other. 4. Hillarie is at the local fair today helping her best friend with her horse show, I swear that girl would live in a barn if she could. 5. Tommorow is Hillaries last parade of the season, where has summer gone? 6. I need to start thinking about school shopping, again uggggg! I still cant believe Im going back to school, Im so excited and nervous. It will pay off though, I cant wait to be a Teacher. Im going to do elementary with a Special Education background. 7. I dont know if I mentioned it or not, but we planted a huge garden this year and it is doing amazing. We have had lots of squash and zucchini, turnips and three different kinds of lettuce. We have a ton of tomatoes ready to turn and some of the pumpkins are already the size of basketballs. We even tried corn, mainly because I want the corn stalks for fall decorations, but we actually have corn growing...amazing! We planted some sunflower seeds that were call Mammoth..they are not even flowered yet but are about 8 feet tall. 8. I have two Dc Kids today..older ones, so low maintenance day..I should be able to get some stuff done. 9. Im thinking of putting a border up in my laundry room...maybe...hmmm...maybe not.lol 10. So, those are my very random thoughts for today, exciting huh? LOL..I hope you all have a great day.  Monday... Monday.. Monday...hope its going well for you all so far this morning. Pretty quiet so far here today, I have been filling out loan applications all morning for financial aid and all that good stuff for school. I have to go next Wednesday to set up my schedule, I hope I can handle this. LOL. Im nervous, its only three weeks away. Mark still has a job as of today..I guess we cant really worry about tommorow , hahaha, but you all know me, I worry about tommorow and then some! I have to start thinking about school shopping, which is hard to do when you are afraid to spend a dime, because of his job situation. I hate it! I applied for extra in my student loan, so that will help us out quite a bit. I have Dc kids this afternoon, not bad..half a day. We went to a family reunion this past Saturday and had a great time, they had a band, and then when the band finished they had kareoke..what a blast. I drank to much though..and yesterday was a very wasted day for me, I spent most of it on the couch..saying I would NEVER do that again..lol...yea ok! Im off to take Hillarie to the barn to ride horses, Have a great Monday
 Good morning guys, hope your all having a good one so far. Its early yet, I know! So our fears were realized yesterday as far as Marks job goes. Unfortunately the main company he works for feels the need to keep things hush hush, without regard to the fact that these guys have families to care for. He was told yesterday after much prodding, that they were in fact PROBABLY going to be closing...but they may open again in two months under different ownership..sorry but a maybe doesn't cover the bills. We have been here before, what gets me about this whole situation, is these "top" guys know what is going on..but they want to continue to make money until the very end so they don't share what is truly happening with their workers. Before, when Mark worked for this company, he went to work one morning and was told to go home, the gates were closed! NOT FAIR! Fortunately I guess this time, since he works for a contractor out of Canada and not mainly for them, they have assured him that in the short turn they will keep him working for them..it will probably require travel however. I guess you do what you have to. In the future, they told him there would be a job for him, but it may be in Missouri, Montana or Canada. We have alot of thinking to do I guess. I don't want to move again, I feel like we have finally come "home", and I love our home..am I being selfish? I am going to continue with my plan to get my degree, I think that is totally important more now than ever, but I'm going to have to work my butt off , go to school and raise three kids basically alone..am I nervous??? HECKLE yea...one minute I feel like I have the faith that I know I should that everything will work out, and then it wavers and I am thinking all these what ifs??? So, I am seriously going to bust my butt with school, at least I know that teaching is a secure job. Anyway...that is my rant for this morning, I am off to take a shower and finish my coffee and start my day! Take care.........  So, my image today might seem a little odd....but I got looking at my ticket this morning and there are cheesy doodle fingerprints on it..go figure! It made me laugh...but anyway, Im not mad anymore, I got a ticket, so Ill pay it and be done with it. Mark said I could lose my liscense(thanks honey) for going more than 11 miles over the speed limit, I figure if I was a repeat offender then maybe but one ticket every ten years, I think Im safe! Today is a pretty low key day here, 3 Dc Kiddos, and my three, I can handle it. Laundry and more laundry that is the plan, exciting huh? Hope you are all having a good Wednesday!  So, tonight I was on my way home from taking my college math assesment test and was feeling pretty good cause I did fairly well when lo and behold I see this ..right as I was coming into a 40 mph speed zone.....the speed limit prior to that zone was 55 and she said she clocked me at 60, but would reduce it to a 55 in a 40!!!!!!!! WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?????????But I hadnt slowed down yet! OK, maybe I should have slowed down sooner, but really , I swear she got me right on the line! She was nicer than other troopers I have dealt with in the past, my last ticket was about 10 years ago, when we were undergoing fertiitly help to concieve Maddison. My husband had to have a sample of his..well ya know and his urine...the "well ya know" had to be kept warm and had to arrive at the hospital within an hour after retrieval.So..I had proof of why I was speeding..I even showed her...I had it in my pants to keep it warm in its container..but it didnt get me outta that ticket! Maddison has a speeding ticket stub in his baby book...this was November 97 and he was born Sept 98'...So you see, its been awhile since Ive had a ticket, I should have been let go for good behavior BUT NOOOOO...now I have a ticket to pay for and who knows how much it will cost! OYYYYYYY! I did well on my test though! Yea me......Have good night all!  Its been a long time since I have done ten thoughts but here goes...
1. I have Dc kids today....Im on the final countdown, only a couple weeks and Im DONE!!! (Ill miss it..alittle) 2. I have to go to the college tonight and take my math assesment test, I am nervous! 3.It is so peaceful and quiet here right now.noone else is up yet! Just me and my coffee and my blog...ahhhhhhhh! 4. I wonder what college students need for supplies nowadays? My kids think its funny that when I go do their school supply shopping Im going to have to do my own. In their words.."mom that is wierd" 5. My kiddos are headed to the lake today with my parents and then Mark is meeting them up there for dinner while I am testing, lucky kids! 6. I really should go get myself ready for the day..ah Ive got a few minutes yet! 7. Gas prices are going down, atleast for now..we are down to 4.18...woohooo..lol 8. I have a ton of laundry I need to be doing...where is that maid???She must have taken the summer off..darn her! 9. I had a garage sale last week and actually did pretty well, I got rid of a ton of stuff, that makes me happy, less stuff, less clutter..I like that! 10. Ive missed blogging, I think Ill be forever and a day trying to catch up on everyones blogs, but Im trying! Have a great Tuesday!  Hey there everyone. Its been awhile I know, time is just flying right by, I cant believe we are already at then end of July. Things are crazy busy here as usual. This past weekend we had a graduation party, this coming weekend we have a family reunion...and that is pretty much how it has been all summer. I cant remember if I blogged on here that I was thinking about going back to school this fall, but anyway, I thought about it and am all registered to start classes August 25th to get my teaching degree. I know it is not going to be easy, but its somthing I have wanted to do since I was younger, just never had the confidence in myself to do it. I go tommorow evening for my math assesment testing which should be interesting...I HATE MATH....but i'll learn it...even if I have to have Hillarie help me with my homework. My first semester, I am hoping to be able to take most if not all of my classes right online so that I can continue to substitute teach and tutor when school starts. I miss you guys and I miss getting on here everyday, my kids are so demanding....lol. They want me to play with them , can you imagine????LOL...They are enjoying their summer though. They have spent a lot of it at Grandpa and Grammies swimming in the lakeand kayaking. They are all tanned up like little brown bears. We are all going to spend a week up at the Lake in August while my parents are gone on a cruise to Alaska, Im looking forward to that and so are they. Things have been a little rocky at the mine my husband works at, there are speculations that they may be closing, and they have been letting some of the contracting companies go to cut cost, so far Mark is safe, but we have been here before, and it is such an unsettling place to be. He has been surfing the net for jobs just incase, but we as a family have decided that if somthing does happen, we will not be moving again. My parents would be devestated and well......so would I for that matter. I love our new home, I love the relationship my kids have developed with my parents , I just cant take that away from either one of them. So, pray that he doesnt lose his job, and if he does, that somthing bigger and better is waiting around the corner for him. I have faith that that is what will happen. Well, that is a little bit of an update for you all. Have a great Monday.  Happy fourth tommorow first off. I hope you all have a safe and happy one. I am headed to Lake Placid with the marching band..with Hill. We are just go go go all the time lately and that is why I havent been on here. Just havent had the chance. Im starting college soon..very excited but way nervous but I know I can do it and cant wait to become a Teacher.I finally got my new car today, after what seems like forever in discussion and test drives. WE bought a black loaded Chevy Equinox. I like it alot, am a little sad at the fact that we traded the Mustang..but we will have another someday.Anyway..ball season is over with, schools out for summer and its been busy but lots of fun! It's not that difficult really..go to the top of the homepage and click on "My Site", it will bring up your page then on the right hand side click on "Customize My Site", then at the top of the page click on "Choose A Theme", then click on the option "Custom Colors", the second option is "Background Image" click on "Replace" and just like with 360 you can choose a picture that is on your computer. The only difference is that it doesn't have to only be jpg format like on 360. It can be a gif, bmp, jpg or png file format for the background page. Hope that helps! |
